ADS (Auction Data Search) is a search engine for the auctions in Japan. It crawls the biggest auction systems and translates them from Japanese into English. You can search various kinds of vehicles provided by auctions in Japan, even if you don't know Japanese at all.

How to use ADS:

• First, you must be a member of Has-Nihon (www.hasnihon.com) to be able to use our system. Please visit Has-Nihon web site and fill the application form, your login information for both sites will be the same.
• Then, you will choose an option from "Joining to Has-Nihon Premium Membership" or "Sending us an Advance Deposit" to be able to log into site and place bid in auction.

Purchasing a car via ADS:

1.1. Joining to Premium Membership of Has-Nihon:

In this option, joining to Has-Nihon is the first requirement.

1. About Premium Membership: To become a premium member you have to admit joining Has-Nihon first, click here for application form. After registering your ordinary membership you cand send us the premium membership deposit and email about your transaction (click here for bank details and other available payment types). As soon as we receive your deposit we activate your premium membership, then you will be able to place bids on Japan Auto Auctions. We recommend you contacting us if you have any difficulties about the process.
2. Note: Unfortunately, we can no accept premium membership applications for purchasing single units only.

2. Premium Membership Fee: We require 100,000 JPY as security deposit.
3. This is refundable, if you decide to quit your premium membership. You can bid for vehicles within 1,000,000 JPY FOB with this deposit. For higher than 1,000,000 JPY FOB bids, additional %25 advance payments is required. If bid is not successful, this amount can be refund or use for another vehicle.
4. Note: If you win an auction with the amount of your bid, you are supposed to make the payment within 4 days. In the case of a payment delay for amounts less than 800,000 JPY FOB, we will charge 5,000 JPY for each day. If payment delay continues after 4 days, your security deposit will be seized.
5. For the amounts between 800,000 ~ 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 10,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.
6. For more than 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 20,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.

1.2. Joining to Advance Deposit System:

When you decide to purchase a vehicle with this option, you have to put deposit before starting. Our deposit ranges are like the followings;

• If you are planning to buy a vehicle up to 400,000 JPY, your deposit will be minimum 100,000 JPY.
• For the amounts between 400,000 ~ 1000,000 JPY, the deposit will be minimum 25% of the price.
• For the amounts more than 1,000,000 JPY, the deposit will be minimum 50% of the price.

This option is useful for those who are interested in purchasing only one unit from an auction. In this option, you may set a bid amount for a vehicle in an auction, and we bid for that vehicle on behalf of you in that auction. Please note that we may bid 10,000 JPY over your bid amount in some cases.

We will notify you about the auction results. If you win the auction, we immediately start procedures of exporting that vehicle to your destination.

In the case of a payment delay for amounts less than 800,000 JPY FOB, we will charge 5,000 JPY for each day. If payment delay continues after 4 days, your advance deposit will be seized.

For the amounts between 800,000 ~ 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 10,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.

For more than 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 20,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.

After we purchase your vehicle from auction, we will deduct your deposit and ask payment for the rest (balance) of the FOB amount.

2. Payment Terms:

1. Payments have to be received 100% according to your choice for the purchase plan (Plan A / Plan B) after receiving the proforma invoice which will be issued on the same day after the purchase.
2. Note: Partial payments are not acceptable for the purchases from Japan auctions.

2. If you fail to pay the full FOB price for the vehicles which you authorize us to bid in an auction, your security deposit will be seized and your membership status will be changed from "Premium Member" to "Ordinary Member". We also reserve the right to cancel your membership.

3. In the case of a payment delay for amounts less than 800,000 JPY FOB, we will charge 5,000 JPY for each day. If payment delay continues after 5 days, your (advance/security) deposit will be seized.
   
   
   • For the amounts between 800,000 ~ 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 10,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.
   • For more than 1,600,000 JPY, we charge 20,000 JPY per a day as payment delay penalty.

3. Export Charges for Units Over 800,000 JPY FOB:

Auction Buying Cost= Bidding Price + Auction House Charges (up to 10,000 JPY) (Consumption tax is not included)

Export Fee for the amounts between 60,000 JPY ~ 270,000 JPY per vehicle: Depending on the distance / location of the auction, payment plan and the FOB value of the vehicle with the chosen payment style. If the destination of the auction house is far from the shipping port, extra transportation charges will be added.

Please check the extra transportation charges.

Note: If you are planning to purchase a vehicle such as a Truck/Bus/Machinery or not rolling damaged unit, please ask us about their export fee in advance before purchasing.

Export fee includes:

• Domestic transportation directly from the auction place to shipping port (If the destination of the auction house is far from the shipping port, extra transportation charges will be added. (Extra transportation charges).
• Translations of the documents from Japanese to English.
• Customs clearance charges and paperwork to get the vehicle on board.
• Preparation of documentations requested by your country customs.

Options:

1. If requested, JAAI Certificate or Sign Certificate issued by Chamber of Commerce; 20,000 JPY + extra transportation charge for JAAI, 10,000 JPY for Sign Certificate will be added to the export fees above. If additional repair or maintenance free required for the JAAI Certification, we will inform you in advance.
2. If Chamber of Commerce approved translations or documents requested, 2,000 JPY will be added to the export fees above.

5. Export Fee for Container Shipment:

This export fee differs up to the conditions like followings (between 20,000 JPY ~ 50,000 JPY will be added to the charges above)

1. Destination of the container: T.H.C. (Terminal handling charge in port) depends to the destination of the vessel.
2. Vanning place of the container: This is the place where container is packed. Inland transportation and labor differences has to be considered.
3. Number, type and combinations of the items in the container like lashing, bundling, packing,frame charges and labor will be an additional cost.

6. Additional Fees:

If you choose in advance DP (Direct to Port) or DHP (Direct to Has-Nihon Yard then Port), and request additional service such as;

1. Detailed photos: additional 10,000 JPY per unit *
2. Additional inspection after purchasing: 10,000 JPY per unit *
3. More further requests subject to negotiation;
   1. Body Repair Job,
   2. Mechanical Repair Job,
   3. Special Engine etc. inspection which can be done by the dealer or another professions.
4. If in case of auction charges more than 10,000 JPY in any case, additional charges will be applied to the export fee. Such as;
   • In some auctions for damaged (accident) vehicles or big heavy vehicles or machinery, auction charges are high.
   • If any unsold vehicles bought from auctions by negotiation after the time passed, charges are high, and differs to the auction house.
5. After 30 days, storage fee is 500 JPY per day in Japan ports for sedan cars and 700 JPY per day for 4WD Jeeps and trucks. For bigger units, price is subject to the size of the unit.
6. Storage fee after 60 days in Has-Nihon Yard is 300 JPY per day for all kind of vehicles.
7. Marine & Fire Insurance, subject to the value of the vehicle. We strongly advise you to secure your investment.
8. Damage & Theft Insurance, subject to the value of the vehicle to protect unexpected loss by theft and damage (From Japan port to your country port)
9. Translation of auction sheet costs 500 JPY per one page. (You can make your payment through your PayPal account or with your credit card)
10. Pre-inspection fee: Our staff can carry out a fully qualified inspection of any vehicles which is possible at auction places on specific days. You must request pre-inspection 24 hours earlier before the auction day. Fees are like the followings;
    • Physical Inspection Only: 3,000 JPY per one unit.
    • Physical Inspection and Detailed Photos: 10,000 JPY per one unit.

Note:* 1 & 2 may need additional 10,000 for transport fee to proceed.

7. Services for Free of Charge:

1. If you purchase or miss with small amount difference, maximum 20,000 ~ 30,000 JPY short, translation of auction sheet are free.
2. Information about the past data, average market price.
3. Searching vehicles on behalf of you and sending inquiries.

8. Cancellation Terms and Conditions:

2. In auctions, you can cancel your bid 2 hours before the auctioning time.

3. There are two possibilities for the cancellation of a purchased unit.
   1. Cancellation before payment:
   2. In this situation, we cancel issued proforma invoice which costs 100,000 JPY per unit. And you cannot bid in the auctions until the payment. If payment delays more than 7 days, your security deposit will be seized and your premium membership will be dropped.
   2. Cancellation after the payment:
   3. In this situation, we cancel issued proforma invoice which costs 100,000 JPY per unit. And the rest of the money is transferred back into your account.

9. Import & Registration Restrictions for Your Country:

We assume that the buyer knows what can and cannot be imported to the destination country. We will not take the responsibility for the vehicles purchased if the buyer does not inform us before bidding of what restrictions are applied for importing vehicles in his/her country. While bidding, please enter relevant information into the comment box (For example: Must be less than 5 years old, must have airbag etc.) for anything that is not obvious and not be seen clearly in auction sheets.

We assume that buyers are familiar with the regulations concerning import approval and compliance for their own countries. As such, the responsibility to comply and register the vehicle entirely belongs to the buyers. We will deal with everything in the export process until the vehicle is landed in your country.

Customs, compliance, tax, duty, registration is entirely in the buyers responsibility. So, please make sure that you are familiar with all the regulations governing vehicle importing into your country.
